Alfonso Bisson - Life and Death (unframed)
The limited-edition print Life and Death reproduces an original artwork made by the Italian artist Alfonso Bisson (1924-2016). The work, inspired by a trip to Africa (1952), shows the indissoluble connection between life, embodied by the new birth, and death, hidden by a white cloth from which emerge inanimate feet. This is a touching and powerful scene that, many years later, draws attention to a problem that is still highly topical, the precarious conditions of life in Third World countries.
