Born in 1931, the Italian painter is known as the last living exponent of the painting Spatialism. In fact, he became interested in the Spatialism Painting Movement when he was just sixteen years old. Intimate friend of Tancredi Parmeggiani (1931-1964), Finzi worked closely with many of the most interesting artistic personalities of the ‘50s and ‘60s like Giuseppe Capogrossi, Ettore Sottsass, Emilio Vedova e Virgilio Guidi Riccardo Licata. In the same period, he came into contact with the well-known American collector Peggy Guggenheim. Refined Italian master, Ennio Finzi has exhibited his work in international cultural institutions like the Venice Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation (1949, 1956, 1980), the VIII e XIII Rome Quadriennale, the XLII Venice Biennale – International Art Exhibition (1986), the Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery of the Palazzo Forti (Verona), the Modern Art Gallery of the Palazzo dei Diamanti (Ferrara) and the Palazzo Ducale (Urbino).
